I\u2019M AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT RETURNING TO AUSTRALIA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>(Ti\u1ebfng Vi\u1ec7t b\u00ean d\u01b0\u1edbi)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>From today, 15 December 2021 \u2013 fully vaccinated international student visa holders can return to Australia without a travel exemption.<\/p>\n<p>But this is not the end the story \u2013 there are different quarantine requirements for each state and territory that you need to follow.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s have a look at what you need to know about arriving at Sydney Airport and coming home to Canberra.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Students are allowed to transit from NSW to ACT<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fully vaccinated international passengers are permitted to transit from Sydney to Canberra.<\/li>\n<li>However, you must travel to Canberra by private car or catching a flight or training. Travelling by bus is NOT allowed.<\/li>\n<li>If there is a layover between flights \u2013 you must travel directly to your accommodations in Sydney and self-isolate until you can transit out.<\/li>\n<li>If you decide to stay in Sydney for longer before coming back to Canberra you will need to follow the NSW rules, which includes 72 hours self-isolation and COVID testing.\n<ul>\n<li>In NSW \u2013 you can self-isolate at your home, a hotel, motel or other accommodations as long as you are separate from other people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>See here for more information: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsw.gov.au\/covid-19\/travel-restrictions\/international-travel-rules#toc-fully-vaccinated-people-arriving-from-overseas#toc-fully-vaccinated-people-arriving-from-overseas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International travel to and from NSW | NSW Government<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Once you arrive in Canberra you must quarantine<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When you get to Canberra you must travel directly to your ACT residence\/accommodations and quarantine for 3 days.\n<ul>\n<li>Suitable quarantine premises include a private house, standalone AirBnB rental or a friends private house. In the ACT \u2013 you cannot use a hotel to quarantine unless it is a self-contained apartment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>You must complete an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.covid19.act.gov.au\/travel\/online-travel-forms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online declaration form<\/a> within 24 hours BEFORE arrival into the ACT<\/li>\n<li>You must undergo a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.covid19.act.gov.au\/stay-safe-and-healthy\/symptoms-and-getting-tested\/where-to-get-tested-in-the-act\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mandatory COVID test<\/a> within 24 hours of arriving in Australia<\/li>\n<li>You can leave quarantine at 11.59pm on day 3 \u2013 if you have a negative test.
