The Morrison Government is continuing to implement a variety of visa enhancements in order to support Australia’s COVID-19 economic recovery.<\/span><\/p>\n

Skilled-Recognised Graduate (Subclass 476) visa holders<\/strong><\/p>\n

Eligible Skilled-Recognized Graduate (Subclass 476) visa holders who lost time in Australia due to COVID-19 international border restrictions will have their visas extended for 24 months. This visa allows recent engineering graduates to work, live, and study in Australia. This will give eligible visa holders the normal visa length plus an extra six months.<\/span><\/p>\n

Training (Subclass 407) visa holders<\/strong><\/p>\n

Due to current labor shortages, the government is temporarily extending this arrangement by removing the limit on secondary Training (subclass 407) visa holders’ working hours in all sectors of the economy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Access to COVID-19 Pandemic Event (Subclass 408) visas<\/strong><\/p>\n

Temporary visa holders with work rights will be able to apply for the COVID-19 Pandemic Event (Subclass 408) visa for a period of six or twelve months if they work in any sector of the Australian economy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The COVID-19 Pandemic Event visa is currently available with no Visa Application Fee for a period of 12 months for anyone working in, or with an offer to work in agriculture, food processing, health care, aged care, disability care, child care, tourism and hospitality.<\/span><\/p>\n
